# Derivatives: (s)Assets

(s)Assets

First iterated by Pirex by Redacted users were offered a semi-liquid version of CVX to avoid the prolonged locking period and economic uncertainty of the crypto markets. (s)Asset by syndicate aims to do give users a liquidity option with their Ve-Harbor and other locked positions.

* Advantages: Access to liquidity from a locked position without capital inefficiency
* Disadvantage: Governance rights are given in exchange for the liquidity.

In return, you will receive an auto-compounding Derivative (s)Harbor for your Harbor, instead of locking through Ve-Harbor and waiting on the locking period to expire. This will give users both options to either lock directly through Harbor or exchange for (s)Assets for a liquidity option.

Note: THE LOCK IS PERMANENT, and though liquid markets may exist you are not able to convert back into the original asset.

Fee Structure will be added closer to when v2 launches. Assumed Fees will be only taken on top of yield, never the principal.
